The Parish of Goldthorpe & Hickleton is a Forward in Faith Parish under the Episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley. There has been a Christian witness and presence here for over a thousand years. Since the late nineteenth century, we have stood firmly within the Catholic Tradition of the Church not least through our close connections with the 2nd Viscount Halifax, and a succession of gifted priests, and a continuous commitment to the life of the Gospel from the parishioners, the churches of the parish stand today as a memorial to a rich heritage. But more importantly, as a vibrant witness to the saving power of Christ for all people today. |
