The Parish of Goldthorpe and Hickleton, South Yorkshire.

The Parish of Goldthorpe & Hickleton is an enthusiastic and very active member of The Society under the patronage of S. Wilfrid and S. Hilda and under the Episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley. There has been a Christian witness and presence here for over a thousand years. Since the late nineteenth century, we have stood firmly within the Catholic Tradition of the Church not least through our close connections with the 2nd Viscount Halifax, and a succession of gifted priests, and a continuous commitment to the life of the Gospel from the parishioners, the churches of the parish stand today as a memorial to a rich heritage. But more importantly, as a vibrant witness to the saving power of Christ for all people today.

We seek to witness to the saving love of Christ through Worship, the Sacraments and a loving care for all God’s people in this place.

  Father C R Schaefer, SSC.
